App Permissions in a Workspace

I know there are some custom levels of user permissions within each workspace, but one unaddressed issue is that if someone is in a workspace they get access to the WHOLE workspace.  Can we just give access to certain apps, or better yet, can we give access to the workspace and then take away certain apps for a particular user?  Without this ability, it really makes user roles difficult, because it's either access to everything or access to nothing.  Sharing individual leads doesn't make sense for high volume.  And creating various workspaces to tailor to various users makes zero sense either, as it's simply not practical.  Naturally some users don't need to see everything, and others do... or some need to see certain things and others need to see a different set of certain things, but either way to add one user means the keys to the kingdom are given (with the exception of certain delete or user functions... but they still see everything).  

Is there any push to making this happen?  It seems this has been an issue for many people for years now.

  @Derek I totally agree with you, and from my searches, this has been a request for over 4 years. What's the best workaround whilst we all wait?

  Its like Podio built this in the beginning and then stopped working on it.  The comment is from 5 years ago and they have yet to respond.  I am having this exact problem and would think they would have resolved this by now.
