Hello,

I would like to talk to someone who is in the know of the next developments being planned for PODIO, because GAnnt Chart seems to be something many are asking but somehow you guys are lagging terribly on, would like to understand the reason/ challenge.

    Antonio Schiano  There is a 3rd party Podio extension called SmartGantt that my company will be experimenting with in the next couple of months.

    We thought it was obsolete, but have made contact with the developers and they say it is active.

    Thank you, George, if we went to high school together I would have commented that SmartGannt sucks.

    Since we do not know each other I must contain my frustration and simply declare it is not optimal :)

    Agree that this would be an incredibly useful feature that SmartGantt doesn't solve, as you have to open up a different program.

    The more you can do right within Podio the better; having to switch between different programs is an efficiency and process optimization nerd's nightmare! 😁

    Agree 100% Jenna.  Podio Citrix needs to do a better job of addressing this need for features and better communicate the plans for the future, we have the feeling ( not saying that it is the case)  that Citrix is  just not in the mood to further develop the platform. Why would you want to use a platform if then I need to beef it up with external plug ins ( and pay additional fees).

    I paid the SmartGantt licence for quite a long time (years) but never got past using it for more than one single Gantt chart. I stopped paying because there was no development on it.

    The Gantt chart is as important as the Kanban view - even Google sheets now has a Gantt view (beta) 

    Any one serious with project management wants Gantt charts ! Podio ? please ?

    Antonio Schiano Yes, that was historically the case. Podio got no love for YEARS. But since they split from Citrix, this past year has seen a lot of changes and the plans for future updates/changes is considerable. Don't abandon hope yet; they are actively listening and making changes now. I think good things are coming.

    It’s always baffled me that a project management app does not have an inbuilt Gantt chart. Smart Gantt is no longer a supported or useful app.

    We’ve been using podio for years and are embedded but it’s so far behind its competitors we’re considering migrating.
